Leading the digital initiative

Pioneering digital initiatives across sectors like education and state welfare is never easy. However, the challenges have always been worth it.

Since 2019, Kiple has been relentlessly serving the B40 group in partnership with various state-level welfare programs providing fund disbursement.

The challenge in 2018

How can we enable seamless financial assistance for the B40 community?

Back in 2018, aid distribution in Malaysia was highly manual and required plenty of coordination. This delayed financial assistance for those who needed it.

In the same year, 2.9% of the Malaysian population consisted of individuals who were single, widowed, divorced with kids or permanently separated from their spouse. Most of these households lived below the poverty line.

There was a pressing need to help these members of the B40 community get the resources they needed in a quick and easy manner.

2019 and beyond

Helping over 50,000 families get the right financial aid easily with cashless solutions

Understanding the urgency and importance of distributing welfare funds, Kiple began collaborating with state governments in the disbursement of welfare funds from early-2019.

The mission was simple: ease the financial burden of disadvantaged communities by helping them get access to daily necessities as effortlessly as possible.

Digital solutions that made everything possible

Welfare funds were loaded onto Kiple-enabled Aid Distribution Prepaid Cards at the same time every month. Using these cards, cashless purchases could be made at many registered stores and clinics all over the state.

Furthermore, the Kiple platform allowed the government to track where and how the welfare funds were spent.
